Our Vineyard

Wythall Estate Vineyard benefits from a unique micro‑climate created by the surrounding undulating terrain which protects our vines from cold weather and ingeniously harnesses the warmth of the sun during the growing season.

The annual Wine GB Award Ceremony took place in July 2020 at Ashling Park Estate, West Sussex.

This year the judges of this prestigious British wine event were:

Each of our Wythall Estate five wines were submitted to compete against other wines grown and made in the UK. We were thrilled that all our wines won an award, and once again our Estate Red was awarded a WineGB silver medal. A blend of Fruhburgunder and Rondo grapes, this glorious wine, grown in our own Herefordshire vineyard, was awarded joint best blended red wine produced in the UK.

The other four wines we entered into the competition were our Sparkling Rosé, Pinot Noir, Siegerrebe and Special Reserve – each won a bronze award.

To be producing five award-winning wines is an outstanding achievement and we are very proud to be recognised as producing quality English wines at Wythall Estate in Herefordshire.
